The DA 87SE uses the same 87 style circuit as our renowned DA 87i— without the additional switches for variable pickup patterns, low-cut, and 10dB pad.

And just like the DA 87i, the 87SE uses high quality materials and components, including Panasonic FC capacitors, WIMA capacitors, polystyrene capacitors, and tight-tolerance resistors.

Finally, I've found a decent, affordable 87i equal

After trying several other versions of 87i circuit attempts that left me underwhelmed, the DA 87SE finally hits all the right expectations. Mosty using it for voice acting for my wife (who is very sibilant), this mic suits her perfectly. Hopefully, we'll be using it for many years to come!

Amazing for the money!

The mic delivers; very smooth natural top end and very mid forward to my ears. Don’t expect a hyped top end, if you are used to cheaper condenser mics with the crispy top end, you may be surprised at how natural this sounds up top. This thing is a steal at this price, complete no brainer. Eventually I’ll grab a second to have a pair.

Smooth sound

The DA 87 really sounds great. A big step up from my Audio Technica and AKG mics. The vocal sound is so transparent and warm, no harshness like with pretty much any other mic in this price range. Very satisfied.
