Instant Vintage. Closest to the original that I’ve heard for sure. Made me re-cut vocals on 3 songs as soon as I in packed it!!!!

A fantastic Microphone

I received my DA 87i and promptly set it up to get a feel for it. First off it is heavy and solid feeling. You really know you have a substantial piece of equipment in your hand. I plugged it into a Focusrite ISA Preamp then into my DAW. The sound was amazing with a clear clean tone but not harsh at all. Gorgeous sounding on vocals. I then compared it to a Telefunken TF 29 and a Neumann TLM 102. These have been my go to mics for vocals for several years. The DA 87i was clearly superior in tone and low noise. I was skeptical of the reviews of the Dachman but i am completely convinced this is a deal changer in recording mics. It comes with great packaging and accessories.

This is the real deal!

I had my eyes on this mic for months wondering if it would really be as good as Dachman were suggesting. 3 weeks ago I pulled the trigger and I have to say how glad I am that I did. This thing sounds incredible. I am mostly running it through my Warm Audio 1173 clone and it's giving me that classic sound I've been looking for for years. At this price its a total steal. If you are anxiously holding back like I was, I seriously recommend just going for it!

Sounds great. Having owned a 70's 87, to the best of my recollection, the DA87i sounds like it.

Great Microphone

I bought the DA 87i and dropped it off to my engineer at our studio. A few days later, he texted me saying “I love this mic, I’m gonna have to buy one for myself."
