I just got this today and I can't stop trying it on everything.
Having used the 87. All I can say, is this is the closest reproduction I've ever tried.
First, tried it on my acoustic that I know very well that has a beautiful tone.But most microphones just don't capture it. This nailed it to the wall. Absolutely gorgeous.
Next, of course, I had to try it on my vocals.And it just brought out every nuance.and was so smooth. Not much needed in post production. The vocals just cut through the mix.Like you'd want.
For this price point, this is just a remarkable buy. I absolutely am in love with this microphone.
