There is no beating a high-quality tube mic like this one. Is it going to sound like or as good as what it is attempting to recreate? I have no clue because I’ll probably never have the opportunity to use an original. That said - it sounds as good or better than every other tube mic I’ve ever had the chance to work with. Considering the affordability, this is probably the best option out there.
I've always wanted to use a 67 style mic for my deep voice and smooth sound that I would be able to capture. The DA 67 is perfect for me and right off the bat is going to be my main mic. The sound is incredible, build quality is on point, and tone sounds perfect to me. Using this for voice overs and rap/hiphop vocals, for the price and quality I dont think you will find better. Might get another one with the NOS tube in it to have also.

I had already recorded most of the vocals for my latest project with a DA 87i when the DA 67 NOS Telefunken EF806S arrived. As good as the 87i sounds, the 67 is in another league. I made the choice to scrap days of work and re-record the vocals with the 67. Just like a high end instrument, it inspires me to achieve a higher level of performance than I thought was possible. I give it six stars!
This mic is insane. It might be the best and most authentic sounding mic that Dachman makes — which is saying a lot, because each one of their mics are incredible. The DA 67 has that velvety warmth, subtle saturation, and slight but glorious compression that one would expect from a mic five times the price. This is not hyperbole. This is an accurate statement, and not one I would just willy nilly throw around. This is going to be a classic mic for all time.
Before you buy some mass produced factory mic, stop and look at Dachman mics. Handmade in USA with extremely high-end components and total attention to detail.
